OLO begins to rise above the beach at the 2007 MIKE event at Ocean City, MD. At 130 feet long, OLO is the largest sea creature to ever crawl along the beach in Ocean City. It was a beautiful sunny day for flying kites at the 2007 MIKE event. Many kite flying groups were in attendance at the 2007 MIKE including the South Jersey Kite Fliers. The amazing 130 foot OLO is an unheard of 67 pound octopus kite. The Lehigh Valley Kite Society puts on an impressive ground display filled with images of pop culture. The private beach at the Castle in the Sand is for hotel guests and patrons of Coconuts. It is not uncommon to see folks put up tents to give them some cool shade on the beach. Ocean City's peak season runs from the second week of July to the third week in August. During that time it can get pretty crowded on the beach. This is the end of the line for the boardwalk - where the boards end and the dunes begin.
